The Beginning of Ordo's Rebirth

 

[14:31] Callista Yervan (callistagseran) sighed, knocking politely on the doorframe as she limped into the room. "You wished to see me when my task was complete, Alor..?"

[14:33] Nicci Sularen smirked when she saw Callista limping, and with a hand gesture beckoned her forward. "Tell me the tail of your victory verd," she said roughly. [14:43] Callista Yervan noded once and stepped into the room, looking around for a moment before looking back to Nicci. "I was out scouting around the city, and happened upon a Jedi looking f or the enclave. I told him where it was, but also informed him of the situation surrounding it. At first, he brushed me off, when I asked if he was interested in a duel. But I asked again. I'm not ssure why, but he did accept." She frowned slightly and bit her lip [14:45] Nicci Sularen's arms folded across her chest, as if waiting for her to continue. "Verd, I said tell me a tail of your victory, not whether or not some di'kut accepted your duel," she said harshly, "results." she snapped. [14:52] Callista Yervan swalloed. "Yes, Alor. Apologies." She frowned for a moment. The duekl was long, but he did in the end yield to me. I have his saber  here." [14:56] Nicci Sularen would take the saber from her, should she allow it, and turn it over in her hands as if examining its authenticity.  If the initial action were allowed, then she would hand it back, nodding once, "You will wear that on your armor.  A trophy, to display an abandonment of your old life and also that you show no hesitation against any foe.  Your lightsaber.  Do you still have it?" she asked roughly. [14:56] A'denla Kad (unlivedphalanx.mcmahon) made his way up the apartment floors until he reached Nicci's, which he had in turn made his own home. The Mandalore reached into his belt pouch and removed the key card which he swiped, having the door immediately open before him and seeing Nicci with the familiar Mandalorian woman he had seen render medical services on Fondor. He stored the key card and stepped in, hearing the term 'Alor' spoken, and his voice immediately came from his helmet in a harsh, demanding manner, "What is this I'm hearing?" [14:58] Callista Yervan hesitated for the dmallest of moments before she released he grip on the hilt. She waited as she saw Nicci examine it and hand it back. Her next question caused Callista to bite her lip for a moment. "Yes, I do. I was planning to dismantle it and dispose of it after I spoke with you." [15:02] Nicci Sularen smirked, "You will do no such thing.  You will do it now, and in front of me, and throw it into the fire," she snapped, pointing to her fireplace.  She knew the fire would not outright destroy it, but it would damage it beyond use.  She turned to see the Mand'alor walk in, giving him a slight nod in greeting, "I am the last of my clan.  I defeated my Alor in single combat the day I met him, proving myself worthy of claiming the title by our laws.  I am the last, even if I had not defeated him, it would be enough to grant me such.  I have sat idle for too long and I fully intend to rebuild my clan so that we may prove useful once again in serving the Mand'alor in battle," she stated flatly. [15:06] A'denla Kad (unlivedphalanx.mcmahon) let his visor focus on Nicci like an animal that stalks it's prey. His fists clenched very tightly, so much so that the thread of his gloves stretched loudly, and he seemed enraged. As she explained, he maintained such a stance, like he was ready to charge into her and strangle her.. Then when she finished, all the Mandalore did was relax. He liked her answer. "Ori'jate." he said in his usual stern manner before the fully armored warrior casually went toward the fridge, opening it to see what there was, patting Calli's shoulder roughly in passing, "Excuse me, verd. [15:10] Callista Yervan glanced over at A'denla, watching his body language as Nicci spoke. After a moment, she let out a breth she hadn't realized she'd been holding. With a nod to A'denla, she looked to Nicci, and said simply. "Very well...  I do not have it with me, though." [15:15] Nicci Sularen growled, "Then you will go get it and bring it back here, destroying it in front of me.  I will be honest with you verd, the very idea of allowing a force user in my clan makes my blood boil with rage.  But if you are willing to take the very heart of what is left of your old life and destroy it, as a symbol of your dedication to your life as a Mandalorian.  To partake in Cin Vhetin, as you were commanded to do when you put on that armor, you must destroy it, and I must witness.  And so help me if you prove yourself weak in battle by using the Force for anything other than healing, I will gut you myself and hang your entrails on display at my outpost on Ordo," she snarled. [15:20] Callista Yervan nodded and glanced once to A'denla. "Excuse me..." With that, she disappeared down the elevator to her own lodgings to retrive it. Within a few minutes, she came back the wood inlaid hilt clutched in her hand as she came iinto the room again. [15:21] A'denla Kad (unlivedphalanx.mcmahon) saw what seemed to be a well-made Cannock burger in the fridge. The words that were spoken by the young Mandalorian woman brought him joy; she truly possessed the mindset of the Ordo warriors he grew up with, and that made him even more so comfortable with her taking the title of Alor. The true test now was keeping it. He took the burger and heated it with whatever means were available in the apartment, and withi minute she had himself a snack. He pried his helmet off his head, offering a nod to Calli before he took the first bite out of his meal. [15:23] Nicci Sularen had watched with amusement as A'denla grabbed the burger for his bottomless pit of a stomach and was leaning against the couch with her legs crossed waiting for Callista as she watched him.  When the girl walked back into her apartment she did not say anything, but noticed she had the saber in her hand and made a gesture with her head towards the fire. 15:26] Callista Yervan took a breath and nodded, stepping carefuly past A'denla to the fireplace. When she stood in front of it, she took a moment to look at the hilt in her hand before she placed int into the fire, making sure it was laid on some of the hottest coals. She did the same with the saber she had claimed from her duel, before standing back to watch them begin to glow red from heat. [15:29] A'denla Kad (unlivedphalanx.mcmahon) was, within mere seconds, done with the burger, "Unbecoming." The Mandalore snorted. Though, it would do for now. All he did now was sit himself on the couch, watching Calli's actions. [15:39] Nicci Sularen raised an eyebrow as she threw both sabers in.  She had told her to keep it, but if she wished to burn it rather than keep it as a trophy it made no real difference to her either way.  "I welcome you into Ordo," she said roughly, "May you help continue the legacy that has followed our clan for thousands of years, or die trying," she said.  Her tone was much less snappish ans irritated now, though still rough as it was always.  "You do us proud today.  Not everyone can help the way they are born," she said, referring to the use of the Force being instilled at birth within an individual, "But it is important we see the Force as a tool to be used, not a crutch.  The Force is not a power that belongs to us, therefore we must never use it for personal goals.  I am sure you have been told this before, but I am telling you again.  Do not disappoint me." [15:56] Callista Yervan stepped back from the fireplace, looking to A'denla for a moment before she turned her attention to Nicci. She'd not originally intended to destoy the hilt she'd claimed, but  with everything that had happened lately she didn't feel she neded another reminder.  There wasn't much to say, so all she said was, "I wil do my best, Alor." [15:59] Nicci Sularen nodded, "You are dismissed to do as you will for now then verd." she said. [16:01] Callista Yervan blinked. "Yes, Alor. Mand'alor." She nodded politely, turned and left the apartment for her own, her helmet under her arm.
